A Fusion of New Jersey Traditions
Our History
Our Grandparents immigrated from Greece to Hoboken, NJ through Ellis Island. Our Granfather worked backbreaking labor with other immigrants and saved up enough money to get his own luncheonette in Hoboken. Our Dad began working there at a young age and told us the stories of how hard Grandad worked to give him a better life and he instilled that same work ethic in the next generation of kids. We work hard everyday for that same dream. On behalf of my whole family, I am proud to be offering New Jersey's most fun, exciting and delicious food truck for everyone to enjoy! We feature a fusion of our NJ's most famous foods with a nod to the past!
NJ & The Rutgers Grease Truck Experience
- NJ has a long history with "Grease Trucks" visiting industrial and shipping sites
- The Rutgers Grease Trucks were an institution
- Named by Sports Illustrated as the number one post game football activity in the Nation
- Maxim Magazine awarded the top sandwich in the Country to a Rutgers Grease Truck sandwich
- Featured on Season 2 of Man vs. Food on the Food Network
- Unfortunately the world famous Grease Trucks were removed from their long time location in 2013 and towed off campus leaving a giant void.
A Fusion of New Jersey Traditions
Our concept is a fusion of the classic New Jersey Grease Truck, Street Corner Vending and Greek Traditions into our own delicous food and experience. If you ended up at the Grease Trucks, you know you had a good time that night! Our menu on the truck changes often but we always offer our staple Gyros, Hot Dogs and Sandwiches, overflowing with toppings and flavor.

THE PLAN
We purchased our truck in the Winter of 2021 with the mission of bringing affordable, delicious and classic New Jersey food to folks around the State! In it's previous life it was used for selling hot dogs on the side of a busy Upstate NY highway and of course we let that great Sabrett DOG painted on the side live on!

Modeled straight from the streets, parks, places, diners, food and pop culture we grew up on. We took our main design inspiration from the famous NJ/NYC Greek Diner Coffee Cups or the “Anthora” TM Paper Cup as it is officially known."WE ARE HAPPY TO FEED YOU" is our motto and we hope to become as synonymous with your everyday life as the most famous cup in the world. If you grew up in the Tri-State Area you can picture your Dad holding that coffee cup at your ball game like it was yesterday.
a NEW KING OF THE STREETS
"WE ARE HAPPY TO FEED YOU"
The top of our truck features a the same Greek Key Design that rounded the cup. The MoMA sells the ceramic version of this cup to this day! So after a baddass paint job and major repairs (new kitchen) we unveiled the new work horse of a truck and christened our new ride as Greece Truck The Movie!
